Pimba

South Australia's far-north

Pimba is a small settlement located at the junction of the Stuart Highway and the road leading to Woomera, Roxby Downs, and Andamooka. It is approximately 441 km north of Adelaide and serves as a key stopover for travelers. The town was originally established as a camp during the construction of the transcontinental railway in the early 20th century and retained as a railway siding when the railway line became operational.

One of the notable landmarks is the iconic Spud's Roadhouse, which provides fuel, food, and accommodation. The population of Pimba is small, and the community maintains services through the Outback Communities Authority.
