Stansbury Water Tower Art

The Stansbury Water Tower, painted by artists Mike Makatron and Conrad Bizjak, is a vibrant addition to the Yorke Peninsula's Southern Mural Trail. Completed in May 2021, the artwork highlights the local natural environment, featuring elements like the Blue Swimmer Crab, pelicans, dolphins, and the distinctive Norfolk Island trees. The mural also incorporates depictions of the town's jetty, coastline, and ribbon seaweed, all of which are significant to the local landscape. This art project was part of a broader regional effort funded by a tourism grant aimed at economic recovery following the 2019 bushfires, making it a celebrated cultural and artistic landmark in the community​.
