Melrose

Nestled beneath the majestic Mount Remarkable, Melrose is a serene historical town set against a picturesque outback backdrop. Recognised as the oldest town in the Flinders Ranges and Outback, this compact yet resilient town is steeped in history. Its name was bestowed by Edward John Eyre in 1840.
