Lake Hart

South Australia's far-north

Lake Hart is a prominent salt lake situated in South Australia's outback, about 37 km south of Woomera. This lake was a key salt mining site in the 1930s when it was considered one of Australia's most valuable salt deposits. While commercial operations have long since ceased, Lake Hart remains a popular spot for visitors due to its striking white salt flats, which create a stunning visual contrast against the red outback landscape.
