Daly Head

South Australia's yorke-peninsula

Daly Head is situated on the west coast of Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, part of the locality of White Hut. It is a headland extending into the ocean featuring a warm-summer Mediterranean climate. This coastal area is known for its natural beauty, with stunning ocean views and proximity to Spencer Gulf.

Daly Head was named after Sir Dominick Daly, The governor of South Australia between 1862 and his untimely death in 1868. Daly Head holds cultural importance as part of the traditional land of the Narungga people, with historical ties dating back to its modern discovery by surfers in the 1960s.
