Hi to our intrepid travellers!
This post has been contributed to us by one of our tour customers, Carolyn. Carolyn went on our 4 day Lake Eyre and Flinders Ranges tour in July 2019 and has been kind enough to share stories and photos from that trip with us.
I’d promised myself for years that I’d go and see Lake Eyre with water in it. So this was the chance. But I hadn’t realised just how much amazing landscape I’d be seeing.
Having a very knowledgeable driver/guide like Mick was just fabulous as he filled us in on aspects of history, geology, landscape, animals and plants, and also gave us an insight into Aboriginal groups as we entered their lands.
Wilpena Resort was a great place to stay – I don’t think I’ll need to eat again for a while!
The flight over Lake Eyre and the adjoining landscape was amazing. There are things you just can’t get to see any other way, and our 6/7 hour flight (with a lunch break at William Creek) was barely enough. I could have gone again the next day.
I’m very glad I made the choice to see this part of the country with this group.
